Abstract

This paper analyzes the market for handmade jewelry in the region of Tuxpan, Ver., In order to provide  an  overview  and  guidance  to  entrepreneurs  who  are  in  the  process  of  obtaining marketing handmade jewelry prior knowledge, trying to get success in their projects. The sector of the jewelry in Mexico has undergone profound changes with the influx of Asian market products, this, because these are very low cost and which has influenced dramatically in local production, impacting directly on the volume national marketing and exports, causing constant drops in both figures. However, imports grow every year  since  2002,  Mexico,  traditionally  jeweler,  where  the  main  production  facilities  are located in Guadalajara and Mexico City. The jewelery is handmade and traditional jewelry, which is consumed not only by women but also for men without. Jewelery demand has grown and continues to trend growth, because it is a product that allows to follow the fashion trends a cheaper and safer way than jewelry. The reason behind the purchase of jewelry is more emotional than rational, and its association with the changing trends of fashion makes the product cycle is shorter.
