Abstract

Venustiano Carranza, Puebla is an area with very low levels of marginalization, low or medium. Chapingo Autonomous University, through the Department of Agricultural Parasitology participates in this region since 2007 with the purpose of providing technical assistance and training to farmers through direct participation of students and faculty of the Universidad Autonoma Chapingo, to innovate their systems agricultural production. The work is being developed in the public land of San Bartolo del Escobal, el Ajengibre, Estrella Roja and San José el Viejo. The development is based on activities: field trips, assembly, establishment of university service projects and social services. It has established a University Service program, twelve social service projects, training courses and Technical Capability on the proper use of pesticides, calibration of equipment, basic crops and some vegetables, citrus phytosanitary diagnosis and soil sampling to determine their fertility. The region has suitable conditions for field practices UACh some courses. The results allow to: establish new service projects and research, greater participation of teachers and students from the University 'in the form of social service or professional pre stay, establish a program of continuous agricultural education to producers and not ignore the impact of Petróleos Mexicanos in the region.
