The knowledge generation and its diffusion of are important goals of higher education institutions in the country, therefore, the implementation of adequate strategies to achieve this are important actions in the comprehensive training of university students. The objective of the work is to analyze the results of the seminar cycles at the Faculty of Biological and Agricultural Sciences, Poza Rica - Tuxpan region, of the Universidad Veracruzana. Since 2014 and up to now, 50 seminars have been presented over 12 semesters, with 44 speakers participating, both graduates, academics and external guests of the faculty, which include five foreign speakers. Most of the seminars were face-to-face, however, given the restriction due to the pandemic in recent semesters, they have been virtual; the participation of the speakers is related to the number of academics per educational program, although all the faculty’s programs have been covered. Most of the speakers have been men (64%) and with a maximum doctorate degree (65%). The continuous semester development of the seminars has made it possible to establish them as an adequate strategy for the diffusion of knowledge among the students of the faculty, however, the confinement circumstances have been taken advantage of to enhance their scope through links with external speakers and assistants, both national and foreign, for which it is expected that in the medium and long term this strategy will be consolidated in an institutional way.
