Legal Framework for Environmental Management in Micro and Small Companies in the Region of Zacapoaxtla, Puebla

This article was conducted in the year 2023 in the municipality of Zacapoaxtla, Puebla, focused on the legal framework of environmental management of micro and small businesses. The regional environmental deterioration is a product of the lack of knowledge of environmental norms, as well as the lack of environmental education on the part of the business managers, but also of the municipal authorities. The activities of the companies in their daily operations were studied, as well as the actions they develop in environmental matters. The legislation applied to the municipality was taken into account, as well as the responsibilities and competencies that the main actors must cover. Therefore, it is considered that for proper environmental management, municipal authorities and the private sector must work hand in hand. Due to this situation, this article was written in order to present to the reader a synthesis of the applicable regulations in force. It should be noted that ignorance of the law does not exempt you from incurring charges and penalties for the actions carried out.
