When using plastic covers on the cultivation of tomatoes increases the yield and fruit quality are obtained, free of pests and diseases. The present research was conducted at the Center for Agricultural Technology Bachelor 136, San Sebastián, Tantoyuca, Veracruz, in order to evaluate the agronomic and crop productivity in protected areas tomato. The experiment consisted of evaluating the variable flowering phenology days after transplantation, disease incidence, fruit quality and performance, using a completely randomized factorial design 22. Factor A: culture technique (with padding and without padding) and factor B: planting density (single row and double row). In the variables of days to flowering after transplantation and disease incidence was no significant difference, concerning the quality of the fruit in equatorial diameter was better interaction double-row planting unpadded; the equatorial diameter was not affected by the culture technique and density, however fruit weight resulted in the best average of 102 g of fruit without padding. In performance-interaction unpadded double row on average 10.55 to 12.35 kg existed, resultad being the best so we recommend using the culture technique without density padding and double row planting for high yield in greenhouse tomato production in the humid subtropics of Northern Veracruz.
