Abstract

Soledad chili cultivation (Capsicum annuum L.) in the state of Veracruz is an activity that has been gaining importance, so that the objective of this research was to compare densities. The experiment was conducted in the community of Lima, in the municipality of San Juan Evangelista, Veracruz, at 17 ° 55 'NL and 95 ° 11' W, at an altitude of 107 meters. The climate of the area is Aw2, hot and humid with an average temperature of 26 ° C and an average annual rainfall of 1,500 mm (INEGI, 2009). The experimental design was randomized complete block with three treatments (seeding), 27 778, 40 000 and 62 500 plants ha-1 and four replications. For soil preparation, there were three passes of harrow, transplantation was carried out in early August, 2012, by hand with the help of a crowbar, the distances used were 80x40, 100x50 and 120x60 cm, were placed two floors by plant, for planting densities mentioned. At the time of transplantation. Rooting was applied (Rootex ®) and an insecticide (Arrival ®). Fertilization formula used was 110-46-30, divided into two portions, all the P and K and N half, five (sad) and the other half of the N, 30 (sad) using Biozime ®. We used the technique of analysis of variance and comparison of means by the Tukey method (0.05). The variable evaluated was the yield per ha. Yields were, 12.0, 18.8 and 21.9 t ha-1 for the densities of 27 778, 40 000 and 62 500 plants ha-1, respectively, the highest density, beat the other two by 30 and 80%.
