As a rule, when there is a change of director in the Academic Units, it is necessary to carry out and present an Institutional Development Plan during the first six months of their management period. To this end, a participatory strategic planning workshop was held in this Academic Unit with producers from the region, graduates, state and municipal government, students in the last semester of master's and bachelor's degrees, as well as business chambers and professors from high school institutions and the Academic Unit itself, which resulted in the Institutional Development Plan for the five-year period. The planning model that was followed was that of Magaña (2002). The main results were the curricular redesign of the Bachelor's Educational Programs and the creation of three new programs by 2025. In addition, important strategies were developed to increase enrollment. An important aspect was to support teachers in the certification to achieve national recognition. The plan was authorized for development by the competent authority. The Institutional Development Plan must be evaluated and provided feedback every six months.
