Academic tutoring at the Universidad Veracruzana is an essential component of the educational model that seeks to support and accompany students in their comprehensive training, providing follow-up to their school career and supporting the construction of their professional profile. These have traditionally been carried out in person, however, the use of technology in universities to deliver assignments and monitor students has significantly transformed higher education. Therefore, tutoring in a virtual environment currently represents a significant evolution in the field of education, providing unique opportunities and challenges. With proper planning and the use of the right tools, they can be as effective as traditional in-person tutoring. In this work, a review is made for the integration of a virtual environment through the use of various educational tools and institutional communication media for the implementation of virtual tutoring. Likewise, the recommendation is made that it is necessary to take into account the limitations that have been documented during the implementation of virtual environments.Downloads
