Abstract

In Mexico the cultivation of vanilla is considered of great cultural and economic importance, so in the present work the objective was to demonstrate to the producers the correct way to sow the vanilla, as well as the handling and due care in addition to helping the acahual incorporating tutors of Gliricidia and Citrus to generate greater income to the region that previously sowed vanilla in a wild way and also integrate the people of the region to be part of the activities carried out on the premises. The response variables used were leaf length and width, distance between nodes, number of terrestrial roots and growth of shoots, verifying that the climatic conditions of the Sierra de Otontepec Veracruz are very viable for planting cuttings of Vanilla planifolia Andrews and thus orienting the inhabitants of the area to sow this plant since the experiment was very viable for vanilla cuttings.
