In the present research work shows how to optimize the method of preservation by immersion of bamboo in the region of Puebla Cuetzalan del Progreso. The research was carried out in the workshop bamboo Tosepan ojtasentekitini cooperative society located in the Municipality of Puebla State Cuetzalan. This research has mainly focused on recommending the ideal amount of solution at the right time of immersion for preservation. The experiment was performed by the method of completely randomized design with two factors. Taking 12 repetitions for each treatment, with three species Guadua aculeata, Bambusa oldhamii, Guadua angustifolia. The preservative used was a mixture of boron compounds, borax (Na2B4O710H2O) and boric acid (H3BO3) in 1:1 ratio. The main results of the investigation, it was found that for the species Guadua aculeata can decrease the concentration used currently to 50% while maintaining the culms immersion in 4 days and that there is no statistically significant variation in relation to higher concentration or more of days immersion is therefore possible to optimize cost and time to perform the preservative treatment.
