The cultivation of Phalenopsis orchids

The objective of the work is the evaluation of biostimulants (keiki paste) based on lanolin and 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP) as active agent, whose main growth regulator present are cytokinins with a concentration of 0.5 mg, in the propagation of Phalaenopsis: Violet Queen, Brazilian Fever, Asian Pink Peace, Desert Breeze, Honglin Vicky. In the results we found that the Honglin Vicky variety obtained a greater shoot induction, in the formation of differentiated calluses and length, Brazilian Fever obtained a favorable response to the application of biostimulant, observing the presence of shoots and calluses in the nodes of the plant. vara, Asian Pink Peace presented a greater response to the application of biostimulant of shoots and calluses, however the growth of the shoot was slower compared to the previous varieties, Desert Breeze, obtained a response to the application presenting undifferentiated calluses and shoots In terms of length, the growth was lower, in rod or keiki, the Violet Queen had no response to the biostimulant. Therefore, we observe the importance of hormones as biostimulants in the production of new plants in orchids.
