Mucuna pruriens (L.) D.C.) (pica pica), weed present in the sugar plantations of Cuba is an annual species belonging to the Magnoliatae class, family fabaceae and genus mucuna. By their morphological characteristics and stinging power it creates difficulties to mechanization and the man involved in harvesting activity, which leads to additional payments, with increasing cutting costs and negative environmental impact because infested fields should be burnt, contributing to loss of C-CO2 and corresponding global warming. In order to know the distribution and evolution of this weed at national level, changes in the weeds occurrence offrequency were evaluated in the period 2007-2015 (both inclusive). For job execution weed survey data conducted by the SERCIM and species identification was performed visually. Distribution was determined in the field by their relative frequency. According to the frequency value species classified in categories: Accidental (less than 25%), Pocofrecuente (25 a 49%), Medianamentefrecuente (50 a 75%) y Muyfrecuente (más de 75%). Its evolution in time classified in the categories:Crece, Decrece o Estable. According the average values of frequencies, the species grew from the last two years fromaccidental to pocofrecuente categories.
